❜ More Safety, Fewer Risks: How Jungheinrich Reduces Accidents With VR Training
Challenge
Jungheinrich needed an innovative training solution for their customer service technicians, focusing on safety-critical scenarios that traditional methods couldn’t adequately simulate. Standard training approaches lacked immersion and failed to prepare employees for complex real-world situations. The company required a scalable and adaptable learning experience that could be implemented across various global locations while maintaining training effectiveness and engagement.
Solution
In collaboration with 3spin Learning, Jungheinrich introduced a two-stage VR training program designed to enhance learning outcomes. The training incorporated interactive, gamified modules that allowed technicians to experience real-life service and safety procedures in a risk-free environment. Thanks to the modular nature of the 3spin Learning platform, training scenarios could be easily adapted, updated, and scaled for different regions and requirements. This ensured a flexible and engaging learning experience that improved both knowledge retention and practical application.
My Role
I was responsible for consulting with the client to define the training goals, designing the overall training concept, and crafting an engaging learning experience. My work included structuring the training content, refining the interaction flow, and ensuring that the VR environment was both intuitive and immersive. I also played a key role in testing and optimizing the training, making iterative improvements based on user feedback to maximize effectiveness. For more details, visit the full project on the 3spin Learning website or on the e-learning journal.
